Gary is an executive search consultant focusing on senior level searches for bilingual professionals with expertise in advertising, marketing, and mobile content with an emerging practice in leadership roles in green technology solutions. Gary's mission is to help people find work they love and to help companies build teams of talented and motivated professionals.

Gary has 9 years experience in executive recruiting in Japan with a strong focus on agency-side (advertising, direct marketing, interactive, PR, brand consulting, etc.) placements. He originally started his recruiting career in 2001 at Tokyo's oldest executive search firm. He joined Robert Leonard Consulting in January 2005.

Prior to working in the executive recruiting industry, Gary successfully founded and sold an international trade management firm in the U.S. before moving to Japan to take a leadership role in a diversified technology and media company. Having run his own company with offices in the U.S., Europe, and Asia for 9 years (and hiring and firing his fair share of employees), Gary has a keen interest in talent management issues.

Gary is originally from the U.S. and was born and raised in San Diego. He has a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and an MPIA from UC San Diego. Gary is a certified success coach who loves to help people their best path to real success by enabling them to leverage their strengths and work in alignment with their passion.

Gary's hobbies are attending and organizing parties, raising funds for childhood literacy, sports, reading, and traveling.
